Re: Favorite Tool / Piece Of Equipment

I second the Bosch 10.8 impact drill.

But I also love my Leatherman Surge (because it's got almost every tool!)

This may be a rant but miter saw technology has hurt the very reason the were invented in the first place my 12'' bosch has an 1/16'' of play and the sliders expecially the dewalt are way worse

Re: Favorite Tool / Piece Of Equipment

I would say it's this Swedish masonry saw that I bought about 30 years ago. Really expensive at the time(about $50), but is still good as ever. Cuts through aac blocks in seconds, cuts soft bricks easily. Also goes through hard cement mortar joints when toothing out old work or replacing damaged rowlocks. Doesn't damage the brickwork like an angle grinder. Never seen any of the modern handsaws here to compare to it.

Here's mine, saves me more time than any other tool, close second is my HD77 worm drive.

Plus, with my new heater, I can sleep in there if the wife finds out about my latest tool purchase

One of the first things I learned years ago was how to open a beer bottle with a hammer.

Re: Favorite Tool / Piece Of Equipment

For me it would have to be my cordless impact. I fell in love with it as soon as I first used it. I hardly even use my other coedless drills now unless I need them for just drilling holes.

You overlooked the one tool that none of us would want to part with....no pictures please!
Seriously I would hold on tightly to my sawzall, screw gun, and conduit bender.

Re: Favorite Tool / Piece Of Equipment

My favorite tool, although it doesn't get used as much as the rest of them, is my multi-master. Just replaced my old one last year after it got ripped off - like the new quick release and adjustable speed!

Re: Favorite Tool / Piece Of Equipment

but, yeah the multi-master ranks right up there....like you stated, doesn't get used often, but when you need it, you need it.

I've never regretted buying it. And I'm guessing due to a patent running out, there are now lower priced competitors that do a good job as well....great tool.

Yeah, it seems everyone is making them now!! - Don't know if they will complete with the multi-master - but I bet they're cheaper!
