Energy Tax Credit Facts
Sitting home today doing some research cause HO pulled the plug on part of the job I was going to start.
He wants to forgo part of the remodel because he figured he could get a tax credit for two separate years if we did did the other half next year. ![]() After extensive surfing I found some facts that may help others that may be faced with the same situation. First; You are limited to the $1500 tax credit for 2009 and 2010 filing years. (I hope this convinces him to go forward )Here's the link: http://energystar.custhelp.com/cgi-b...X3RleHQ9MjkyOA** Second; And maybe an added selling point,if filing separately, and claiming separate expenses,a$1500 tax credit can turn into a $3000 credit. That Link; http://energystar.custhelp.com/cgi-b...Q9MjkyOA%2A%2A

Re: Energy Tax Credit Facts
Maybe you can convince him to do the whole project now (taking advantage of $1,500 tax credit for 2009) and hope it reflects in his tax return...

Re: Energy Tax Credit Facts
FYI....ABC supply is hosting a tax credit seminar next week in Avon MA, I would suspect that most branches are offering this seminar. It is more a of a sales seminar, on how it works, so you do not oversell the program, and get burnt later.

I'm still hoping, but ran into another snafu, when I went to verify window measurements today. ![]() Part of his block foundation has settled, and needs to be addressed before I can do some of the work. Now,to keep going, I have to convince him to let me secure the wall above it against settling by doing a little jacking, and putting in some supports on top of a steel girder across the basement floor until a mason can get in there.
