Energy And Construction
The last 6 months or so I've been doing a lot of research into energy. I started up a program (Energy TAP) to teach teens about energy construction .....PV, wind, damn for hydro .....This crap is frickin interesting as hell.
There's just a flash page here now but we're working on a site that should be pretty cool. http://yourenergytap.com/ Anyone else into crap like this?

Re: Energy And Construction
That is good. I have been doing a lot of research myself. Solar panels are really intersting to me. I am planning on building my own panels here in a few weeks to power my detached shop.

Re: Energy And Construction
A while back I read an article about Indium Gallium Nitrate and how it reacts to photon bombardment. It was a 2002 or 2003 article from the University of Maryland ? ...maybe
I told my son and we started brainstorming ......we came up with a grid of florescent tube type solar PV panels with a reflective base. The shape and vacuum containment was to maximize output and protect the compounds from atmospheric moisture solving the only problems for PV use .....or so we had hoped ......we never attempted it. On March 20 2009 the Gov guaranteed a 535 million dollar loan to Solyndra Inc to develop a new solar panel 5 times more efficient....... somebody else did it! http://www.solyndra.com/Products/More-Electricity
