Ok dident know it already had rolled roofing this is what you can do there is product called bitchithane or ice sheld comes in 3ft rolls and you peal off the back and lay it down the best on the market will last for ever it is like rubber once you lay it you will not be able to pull it up just over lap your joints 2" and if not spend the money on the metal and you can still use the firing strips use butleflex calking with that and the screws with the rubber washers thats all I got for you good luck if your trying to save them money tell them you can only do it the right way or find some one else

I think it's "Bituthane" You know, like it is made from "bitumen"

I don't believe it is a proper application of this product however.

Has no one ever used the rubber roof I mentioned? Imo, they were lucky to get 7 years from asphalt rolls. Actaully I guess they didn't g et a full 7 years. If it has been exposed more, it prob would really be in bad shape. Ill seeif I can find a link to the stuff I am talking about. Kind of expensive initailly, but not replacing every few years.

Okay, can't find it r ight now. I iknow I am not spelling it right, but it is pronounced that way. Looks like regular asphalt roll roofing, granules and all, but it is rubberized. It is different from ice membrane. I think it is about $80 per roll here. And it is not the 5x10' stuff rubber stuff.

Dougchips, whats' your point? Is it spelled "Bituthene" Whatever the spelling it still doesn't seem to be the best product for this app. IMO. What say you?
