Dumb Question

After I browse through this site (and others) I usually just hit the red 'X' on the upper right corner when I leave and that's it. I don't bother to log off. When I get back on I usually have to log in again but lately it's showing that i'm still logged in. So does that mean that even when i'm not on internet that it's still showing me as a current active member at the bottom of the page?

No. The cookies log you back in as the site opens without you knowing it. (at least that's my understanding of it)

that's what I assumed too but I wasn't sure after my computer settings changed on me for no reason....
