Drilling a 9 inch hole through masonry?

Hi guys,

It's my first post on here. Quite often i could do with something that drills a 9 inch hole through masonry. I install twin wall prefabricated chimneys and it would be very handy for going through the house wall as the outside diameter of the chimney i use is 8 1/4 inch. Sometimes i need to put a 9 inch hole straight through and other times i need to go through at 45 degrees. I have a 6 inch core drill......is there anything available as a 9 inch and can you use it free-hand or would you need some kind of rig to bolt it to the wall/floor?

Cheers

I'm not sure they even make a 9" hole saw for masonry, but if they do I'm sure it's QUITE expensive. If you were doing this only once, I would drill several smaller holes in a close circular pattern and knock it out with a hammer...but I assume this isn't just a one time thing so I'm afraid I got nothin' friend...wish I did. Good luck.

They make concrete core bits up to 14". A 9inch will be like $450.

Just rent a core drill and bit, I think it's only about $35/day here.
