Drafting A Press Release... Need Your Help.

Aaron from Footbridge Media is drafting a press release for us that will go out next week for our 3 year anniversary.
Anyways... we need a few quotes from our members to put in the press release.

So, in one or two sentences please answer the following….
  • What would you tell a friend about this site.
  • How has it helped you and your business.
Please note that by posting in this thread your quote may be used in a press release along with your name.

Thanks!

It's real nice having a place to log in to and chat with peers from my industry. A place to ask trade questions, get advice on business matters, or to just plain find someone that 'speaks the same language' as I do.

I have told many friends to come to this site. NOne ever seem to do. Not all are the forum types. INfact one wondered why I would give away my knowledge for free. Anyways if I could tell someone in one sentance what this site was about it would simply be: GO to share knowledge and speak with others who know.

This site has helped my business incredibly. There has never been one thing that stands out but rather every day I grab a pit and a piece of what works for someone else. ALSO I have gotten leads from customers reading what I have written here.

The perfect place for contractors to 'meet' to discuss trades issues, get help in solving problems in the field, gain knowledge, get advice, or just to talk, basically about anything, with people who share 'like' interests. It's THE BEST site of its kind on the net. Try it, you might like it....but be warned.....it's addicting!

I would say: Its really a great place for small contractors to go and learn from alot of knowledgable people who have been in the trades along time. Its great whether your large OR small. Theres always something to learn.

As a sidenote, I know have learned alot about my business, as well as other aspects of peoples trades by reading posts. Its great to be surrounded by all you who like to share and offer your opinions.

I love Contractortalk.com because it is a great place to get together and discuss new ideas and ways of doing things. Contracortalk.com has also led to almost $40,000 worth of sales for my company. As well as new selling techniques that have led to more closed sales than ever before. My company has grown tremendously in the last year from knowledge gained from Contractortalk.com

Well, since I don't hang out in the tavern anymore after work, this is where I come to relax and talk "shop". Not only that, I can get into brawls & fistfights here and not even feel a punch!!!!!!

Except when Robin starts biting.....

Seriously though.....Patty's right, it is very addictive. My wife thinks I'm having some kind of on-line affair.

Where else can a tradesperson go to get WORLDWIDE (that's right...worldwide) knowledge & experience, not only for their specific trade, but ALL construction trades....... AND business & technical advice on top of it all!!!!!!

Of all the various forums I have checked into...... This one has something for everyone.

Re: Drafting A Press Release... Need Your Help.

I like it because the only thing anyone is trying to sell you on is the proper way to do some aspect of construction; be it sales, business, or a specific trick of the trade. I have learned a lot and maybe have helped someone a little bit along the way. What else could you ask for?
