Question

Do You Qualify Another Business?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here is qualifying another business. I am trying to find out what I should be charging to qualify another alarm contractor.

I know this person very well and trust their work, but I don't want to sell myself short.

I would appreciate any advice.

Thanks-- Miscon

It's flatly illegal to do so in my area, and you could actually do jail time. In Florida, for instance, I understand that it's part of normal business. It's always interesting to learn how things are done other places. I've heard internet babble about 10% of gross sales for the qualifier.

Yes, Here is Florida you are allowed to qualify 2 or more business. I would only put myself on the line if I personally know the person and their work habits. In this case, I do. I was also thinking about 10% as well, but I did not know if it was too much? I was also thinking about a flat fee.
