Discontinued Parts.

Recently my Ridgid Compressor, model# OF25135CW, developed cracks in the Regulator Assembly and Outlet Bracket. These cracks were not due to any damage just due to normal vibration to cheap metal parts,* I'm assuming. I have been looking for these replacement parts all over the internet. To my surprise these parts have been discontinued and are unavailable with no new replacement for them. Today I called Ridgid direct and asked what I'm suppose to do with this big paper weight i now have if i can no longer get the parts. I was told I'm SOL! Well this is not what I expected from the company that I have been buying all my company's tools from and expected a better solution. I guess it is left to me to go by a new regulated and* Concoct a setup without reusing the factory face plate on the compressor. Well after the poor customer service and solution I got I will not be fixing it. I will be buying another brand of compressor and reconsidering the future tool purchases I make for both my personal and company use. I'm curious if anyone else has had these issues. I'm very unhappy!

I think I bought it about 6 years ago.

Did you register it when you bought it?

If you did, ask them to perform under their lifetime warranty.

Re: Discontinued Parts.

I have a Dewalt compressor with one of those specialized rails. Regulator that was built into the rail failed. Part was still available but was an expensive special order.

When shopping for a new compressor, look for one that uses a plain off the shelf regulator and pipe fittings. It probably won't have a sleek looking control panel though.

Yes that is exactly what I'm looking for. Don't need sleep panel. Thanks
