Design Software

Can anyone recommend a program to design and show customers what their room will look like after remodeling? I would like to be able to do a kitchen for example where i can take the measurements and layout the kitchen and add cabinets and flooring and stuff to show them an idea of what it will look like? I'm not looking to spend a fortune on something just looking for something to try and see how it works out for now. Thanks for any help.

I think you should look into Google SketchUp. It's free software from Google. You can create 3D models with the ease of AutoCAD and apply textures and render your designs. I use it in my designs, and for the money the software can't be beat. Hope it works out for you.
