DCA Contractors License
Does anyone know what I need to bring with me to the DCA in NYC to get my contractors License, I am a Sole Proprietor. I also would like to know if the study material for the exam is given to me or do I have to get it elsewhere. I tried to call DCA,but I am getting nowhere.
Thanks, JR |

Re: DCA Contractors License
Google is your friend... You can search for the NYC DCA and find just about everything you need to know on their website. Since you are a sole prop, you dont need much.. A few forms of ID, proof of address, (bring a utility bill with your name on it too) and they'll give you the short study guide for the test. There's a few forms to fill out including a workers comp waiver too.
Oh, bring money too.. Besides the regular license fee's, you have to contribute $200 to the homeowner's restitution fund unless you have a minimum $20K bond... Last edited by Splinter; 09-09-2008 at 04:28 PM. |
