We know that.

If the desired response was not as expected, they should call law enforcement.

Be a pretty neat rick tho: as a boss tell somebody to hump some lumber and if you don't like the way they do it just say "Don't make me go get my gun."

yee haw...
Why he said it has not been determined, because the guy who said it isn't here to tell us. It's elementary.

I know what he said. Matters none to me unless I know the other side of the story, or I knew who this guy was. It would be one thing if he was a credible poster we all knew. But neither is the case.

And no I can accept whatever I want. I do accept that there was probably an Altercation. But one can't be sure about anything.

That’s more plausible than some of these other theories being posted.

Yes, It isn't something that is always done. NO, I don't understand why he did it. But I do have to just wait and see. I just didn't want to wait up to 2 weeks for a decision. It's bad enough that I have to have a decision at all, let alone wait on it.

Something tells me the judge is going to have a surprise for this guy.

Keep us posted.

Re: Customer Threatens You With Gun

Well I got a couple of things related to this story, it's a little wordy, but I'm old and I'm allowed to ramble:

For one, I had a dispute once with a landlord who owed me my deposit back. I took her to small claims court where she had her boyfriend serve me with a counter suit. Her suit got thrown out. I won the case, but the judge mailed me the decision---that was it. No on the spot decision.

Second, across the street from us about 5 years ago, a "rhoided" out mom from SoCal had an out of control daughter and son. The mom owned a little gym in town for rich trophy wives to hang out. Well, her daughter, who was 20, and married to a Samoan guy right out of high school --but I guess got divorced --- zipped around town while texting a lot ---and running into people. Unfortunately, she ran into my wife's daughter. No big damage, but the rhoid daughter blamed everyone but herself.

So, a week later, I am outside at my truck while the "rhoid" daughter proceeds to back out of driveway without looking (she was texting again) and hits another neighbors car. Neighbors come out, and, I walk over to see the damage. When I get there, I say: "oops, looks like you hit someone else". Rhoid Daughter goes ballistic, Rhoid mom starts screaming at me too. Son of Rhoid Mom (who is a wimpy little sh-t who drives a jack-up Ford 150 around) gets in my face as I walk away and threatens to beat the crap out of me for upsetting his sister.

I tell the kid to get life and ignore him. Sister is still screaming away. The kid again gets in my face and really wants to duke it out. I've had enough, I walk away and tell them I calling the sheriff. Hearing this, the Rhoid Daughter yells out:"I'm gonna get a gun and blow your F---ing head off".

I call the Sheriff, the lesbian deputy talks to the Rhoid family first, then comes over to me----with an attitude, and, basically says that I started the whole situation.

My experience as a gun nut has been... Those who offer to show you their gun are basally tough guy- all talk. The folks who are agitated & printing with out mentioning they are carrying. They are the dangerous folks.

I think the guy walked off the job and is trying to say he was threatened with a gun to get out of it.

Re: Customer Threatens You With Gun

All I know is if I was loading up something or if someone working for me was, and a customer didn't like it, and said "don't make me get my gun" I would absolutely take that as a threat of violence, how else would you take it. Obviously we can't confirm this was the exact case, but assuming it was..

Maybe it is a bit different as I am up in Canada..? but if someone told me "don't make me get my gun" I would no longer be working for them, I would pack up and go, and send them an invoice for what was completed.

I would also report it to the police, as if he tried to come after you in court I would think that is pretty ample grounds to abandon a contract, and also why let a bully get away with that bs.. as the other poster said, if he wasn't happy with his service at a bank teller would he tell them that? no, because he knows his ass would end up in jail. Sounds like a bully who is used to intimidating others, such as his wife..

maybe I'm just lucky but the vast majority of people I work for are wonderful, or at least reasonable. Even the crazy ones are a whole level apart from what I read about on here.. I read some of this stuff about non payments and liens, and it makes me paranoid, lol...

Re: Customer Threatens You With Gun

seriously? What reason would I have to walk off of a job? We was 90% finished with the job. I have been in business for 30 years and this is the first time I've ever walked away before the job was done. I can't risk My wife (which goes with me to jobs), Mine or my workers lives because someone wants to threaten us with a gun. Our lives are worth more than any job!

Cop was probably gettin' it on with rhoid mom on the side.

Re: Customer Threatens You With Gun

I showed up for a window rot repair job and began. Tenant came out and ordered me off his property. I informed him I was contracted by the owner and it wasn’t his choice. He proceeded to make a phone call to his buddy in front of me asking him to bring a bat and come **** me up if I wasn’t gone when he arrived.

I took the high road. Went to the truck and filled out a 5 day notice to vacate and hand served him right there and left.

Wait. What? Contractors can evict someone else's tenants?
