Re: Customer Refusing To Pay

It took me a long time to stop self deprecating my own work. Just like youbdid, I tend to explain it is as good as I could get it. This is after they are more than happy. I now make it a conscious point to keep my mouth shut. My OCD makes me feel bad, but I still keep my mouth shut, usually.

Two patches are a full days rate at a minimum, plus materials and a big mark up. And you still don't make much because you end up going back the next day of you are painting it.

Dude, you've wasted over $200 in time typing in this thread. Been established, you F'd up by opening your pie hole. Get over it already & move on to a paying job. Pretty cheap lesson in business if ya ask me.

I do lots of government work btw

LOTS! they take months to pay so you have to add in the holding costs, interest, the idea that I have to finance the job myself

just did one job in january that I had to finance and sit on the invoice for 7 weeks after the job was completed before getting paid, boo hoo

When people think I over charge I tell them I'm running a business not a charity. My monthly overhead is absolutely brutal. So I don't really give a hoot anymore, I"m not working out of my truck trying to put money in my pocket, I want a to buy my retirement home in scottsdale next year. Geez
