Ct Lotto?
I was reading Dirt's post about the emergency fund, and I think the times are right for an Idea like that, However, Helping each other out would be too dificult when every body has their hand out...
How about a drawing... You buy "tickets" and when the pot gets to say... $5,000 we have a RANDOM pick of a winner...The more you buy the better your odds, you don't participate you can't win. also after winning you cant participte in the next few drawings. at $5 dollars a ticket you may be having a drawing every day! and maybe a pecentage (10%) can go to our generous Host Nathan for all the trouble! it's almost a sure bet you would win at some point! Huh?! whatdoyouguysthink?! Keyword is: RANDOM WINNERS (how to do this?) And maybe we can make a deposit of I don't know...$100 or $200 dollars and just work off that credit! |

Re: Ct Lotto?
I would think that would fall under online gambling and would create more headaches than the P and R forum.

I am thinking that clicking on adverts is filling Nathan's pockets quite well... I use a bunch of adblock programs, but if I could see the ads I would click for the cause!

Re: Ct Lotto?
...Gambling, I don't know enough about this subject to know the difference between a Casino and Bingo...but I doubt Bingo at the local Church has much trouble getting permits for every Thursday's "Cash and Prizes."
Ads I'm sure a good way to generate income...but this is certainly would Add to the pot...If each participating member deposited $200 bucks (minus the 10% fee) that would be $180 to purchase tickets, multiply that by 1000 members? maybe 2000! as things get better...Thats $360,000 in a bank account drawing Interest (and $40,000 as direct income)...sure sounds appealing to me! (2000 x $200 = $400,000 - 10% = $40,000 Income and $360,000 deposit) Well there you have it...I'll go back in my Hole now thanks fer yer time! I will never speak of this again... ![]()
