I'll bet your right nut that every guy here has taken a job outside of construction at some point for some reason. (boy, I hope I'm right)
It is what it is, no big thing.

Heck I'm glad to hear that an American car company might get your help for a while. They can use the help.

You better hang out here so we can keep tabs on you.

on the bosch laser measurer, it didn't read in "inches only" , which I use a lot.

the bosch angle finder (i have 2 of 'em), it was superseded by this....

I've got both this and the smaller version....good stuff

Whats the advantage that version over the digital version? I do worry about if the digital one will stay accurate.

It gives the miter angle cut for your saw, both a 2-piece miter (the usual) or a single cut .... if you do any amount of carpentry, get both...you'll be glad you did.

Much smaller than the bosch, and it gives you settings for your miter saw....right on the dot.

The bosch do that though dont they? It has a button that you press that calculates the cuts for the mitre. Well mine does at least. I think the older models didnt though but im not 100% sure.

Warner,

I have a question:

When you sold your soul to Festool, did they plant a microchip or did they go old school and go with a festool logo branded on your @$$?

Just giving you a hard time, I wish I had that Kapex- when my Bosch dies that is going to be its replacement!

Re: Crown Molding, Could Use A Little Help...

It's both. Very compact, light weight (47lbs.), easy to carry and set up.

Has it's own angle transfer device, dual lasers that are completley adjustable to suit your cutting needs. Super nice hold down clamp.

I would say I get close to 95% dust extraction, so big help having the saw where I am working, with almost no mess to clean up.

I think the makita and the kapex have the same crown capacity nested and same height base board capacity.

It also has a fast electric brake, great blade guard and a sweet fine adjustment bevel setting.

I can also set it accuratley to 1/4 degree incremeants.

I just sold my bosch before I got the kapex. I really liked my bosch but, the kapex is 10x the saw that the bosch was.

They do kind of have me hooked.
I am pretty much committed now though, each tool I buy from them fits into their system. Basically, each new tool I get, works with all the other one's I all ready have. Makes things quicker and easier.

The other huge thing, Festool's customer service is second to none, they are awesome to deal with.
