I would like to hire four students, all friends, part of the same frat/sorority or team, to do some easy yard work.

Weed some beds, move dirt as necessary, lay down weed barrier and spread wood chips.

Should be 2 to 4 hours of work, $8 per hour per person cash.

Kevin

I think actually know this guy. If it's who I think it is he's really creepy. Has a house on the end of Kenneth St. in Moscow. He's in his 50's and rents rooms in his house to college men from overseas. He advertises on the Universities website offering low cost housing to male exchange students.

He's also cheap as hell. He called me out to look at removing some huge arborvitaes. Told him it'd run about $700 per, he offered me $50 cash. With a straight face.

I also know a couple of guys that used to live w/ him. Kevin is fond of cruising the house in his tighty whities, calling you at all hours to talk, sharing ****, and eavesdropping.

He's notorious!

You know a couple of guys that lived with the local fag who preyed on young men? Not something I'd be telling everyone.

Creeps...There have been a few craigslist ads here in NYC recently where the guy posting wanted a few nice headshots and a shirtless pic along with your quote...Another "High end company" that caters to "the art scene" wanted only guys with great abs and muscles because all of the work must be done shirtless. The pay was actually pretty good for that one though. I guess I should hit the gym...

I know the guys through the International Club. Since I'm relatively new to the US myself I help people that come here get adjusted to life in the US. Give rides, help them with shopping, learn the language, etc. Sort of a mentor, someone they can call if they need help or are homesick.

Just helping out. Three of us went on a roadtrip to Montana last year that was a lot of fun.

Got a POS 87 minivan for the trip. They have big bottles of local beer that Pramesh was really excited about.

This is the closest to a smile Amrit came the whole trip. I had to drive the whole time, Amrit and Pramesh don't have licenses.

We went to Glacier National Park only to realize that it was closed for the season. Somebody didn't plan this very well. We went in anyway and ate sandwiches by the lake.

Wound up in a bar in the middle of nowhere. Ever seen 2 Nepali guys and a German in a cowboy bar in rural Montana? How we got out alive is beyond me. Slept in the van, almost froze to death. Good times.

Pramesh really liking that big beer. He's looking worried because we were hopelessly lost w/ 1/8 tank of fuel in a minivan that gets stuck easily in the snow.

Amrit wasn't worried about our fuel and navigation situation. He kept falling asleep in the back and Pramesh and I didn't see the need to tell him. Ignorance really is bliss.

If you have an International Club for foreign exchange students you should ceck it out. It's a lot of fun meeting people from different countries.

Bob

Let me get this straight. You pick up people who barely speak English. Take them around in your old van. Get them drunk and make them sleep in it? Do you guys cuddle to keep warm?

I would stop pointing fingers.

Ah... Good Times!

About 15 years ago had a good buddy from Algeria, he was over here on a Visa, he was one funny dude.

Best was when he would mimic our American accents.

He use to call me the white devil.

Re: Creepy Dude Wants Friends For Yardwork!

We had planned to go to Great Falls and stay in a Motel 8 or something. Unfortunately due to an unexpected snowstorm we got stuck after we left the bar. Tow truck wouldn't come out until the morning to winch the van out. I suppose we could have slept outside the van, but that seemed a little stupid to me. Hypothermic death and all. We went to Billings the next day and hit the casinos and stayed at a motel. Good times. We also went to the Museum of the Rockies in Missoula.

After we got back I helped the Xo family from China. Wong came over w/ his family to do graduate studies at UofI in electrical engineering. I helped him get his license and then gave him the van so he'd have a way to get his wife and 2 kids around. Jing was also pregnant w/ their third at the time.

It was tempting but I don't play on that side of the street. But working naked would give you extra places to put your tools.

Bob, you don't by any chance happen to work as a clown for children's birthday parties on the side, do you?
