Re: Craig's List Winner For Today. Any Takers?
Having my business in the Houston are I will have to get a hold of whoever he finds. I can really increase my profits.
I am not worried about the liability and will also pay in hard cold cash,,,,with the extra money. What an ass.

Re: Craig's List Winner For Today. Any Takers?
I sent him this reply, we'll see if he sends one back!
Are you the contractor doing the sheeting? I can do your roof for you for 2000. Even though as you have already found out the bid is closer to 20000 than 2000. The only thing is that I'm going to have to let my insurance lapse because 2000 is not enough to cover that expense. So in the unlikely event that one of my guys falls off your roof you will have to cover the insurance part and medical bills and if he would sue it would be you that would be the one that is on the line. Also I can not give you any kind of warrenty on the work done. With that little of a profit there is no way I could come back to fix anything. So we have a deal?

He never replied back. Good thing I wasn't counting on this job to feed my family! This craigslist thing is getting bad. I've read where legit companies flag every post they see that is by some guy off work looking to low ball everyone else.

All it takes is 10 flags. So if you have like-minded folks, you can clean up a lot of riff raff real quick.

Re: Craig's List Winner For Today. Any Takers?
Buyer Beware .. if people want to pay nothing, then that is what they should expect. If you are good at what you do, cheap competition is never a threat. Also, some people really can't afford to have it done right, and just want some half ass job that last for a few years... they are sure they will have more money then. And that is the cycle of being broke.

Ceramic Tile Installer Needed (Perkiomenville, PA)
Looking for very reasonable price per hour for a basement tile job. Generally easy, rectangular area. Please reply with experience information and rate per hour. We are OK with this being weekend and/or evening work for someone otherwise employed during the week. Must have verifiable telephone number and address (we'll be checking), and references (we'll be checking). Must be local to Perkiomenville, PA. Added later... This is about 800 SF of generally unobstructed floor space (two small closets) and the floor is clean level concrete. We are okay with it being a moonlighting job for someone on weekends or evenings. So far, I am getting rates generally in the $20 an hour range, with a cap of $800 to complete the job. I'll be buying all supplies; contractor brings tools. I am getting a lot of grief from people who think it is worth more to do it. Please, I don't need advice or grief. If you are very local and this could work for you, great. If not, just don't reply. We have a lot of experience with rehabs and contracting work, and we don't need advice. Thanks. Help me move a Couch (Make $10 in 10 Minutes) (Philly 19151) I need help carrying a couch to the rear of my house. It will take about 10 minutes or less and I'll pay $10. If interested please call me at 215-667-9428. I'd like to have this done right away. I'll remove this ad only when the job has been completed. Near 76th and Malvern in 19151 (overbrook park). |

Re: Craig's List Winner For Today. Any Takers?
I have a dead duck in my driveway and have no desire to deal with it myself. If you come to my house and throw it in my garbage can I'll pay. I can even provide a shovel, how about that.
