Contractor Talk Publication

You know that question about whether you are willing to have your posts published when you register on this site. Well, where are excerpts of this forum published anyway?

Re: Contractor Talk Publication

They aren't. We had a magazine contact us about a year ago to publish one thread from our forum a month but then they purchased another forum site and stabbed me in the back. At least that's my version of the story

nathan -

i'd still let anyone know (whether or not they opted for that) if their posts would be published outside this forum

Yes, that is why we had an opt-in system when we were looking into this. However we are no longer doing this so it's a non-issue.

Re: Contractor Talk Publication

Just a little extra FYI.

Although not technically, "published", the threads from this and other forums do pop up when you are doing a search for various topic titles, such as Googling "torch down roofing" or "overcoming objections", for instance.

Those two examples, per se, may not be the ones, but when I am doing research on a topic, I have seen the links come up for various particular topics.

Re: Contractor Talk Publication

Yes, search engines do index sites and that is really what brings traffic. Most of the time that is just a link with a title though.

We don't currently work with anyone directly to publish or reproduce any content that is posted on this site and we would only do so in the future with your premission.
