Colorado Springs Lumberyard Advice?

Hello all,

I moved to Colorado Springs almost 3 months ago. I'm finally licensed (Class C) and I'm ready to go to work.

I'm looking for lumberyards where the employees don't wear orange aprons. Do you have any suggestions??

Many thanks, T.N.

Ah, but he is just a Padawan in Colorado Springs - sorry I can't help you with a lumber yard - but I can tell you about some good bike riders up there.

I just typed it up in Google - you have an 84 Lumber & BMC West Building Materials Center @ 870 Paonia St

Which works for you - only you will know. Time for a meet & great

Stock, Foxworth Galbraith, (Bob Baker or Ken Black), BMC . Black Forest Lumber if you in that area. I could tell you all the ones that are no longer.

I thought you were up by Ft. Collins.

I'll probably be wrong again sometime next year.

I've been down at Stock helping set up their second truss shop. Them boys must think this town is going to boom again. They're set up to crank out alot of trusses.

Thanks for the googling

84 Lumber is out of business, I know because I drove there today.

I was also at BMC today, and if their showroom is any indication of the rest of their business, they look pretty much done for. They have a lot of nice company pickups though.

After that I started making some calls out of the Pages, to no avail.

I'll have to try Black Forest and Foxworth Gailbraith. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah, I sure feel like a Padawan these days.

I'm curious about those riders. Track riders or ?? I'm afraid I can't claim to be any good, but I do enjoy it. Nothing like hacking out a lung trying to get a breath at 7500 feet!
