Coffered Ceiling Pics
For those of you that do this type of work and haven't seen/used Gary Katz's method, it's a breeze. First time we tried this and everything went very smoothly...2 of us, just under 70 man-hours including shop/running around time...18' ceiling.

Re: Coffered Ceiling Pics
Nice job Jay. I never have assembled one myself, planning is the key as you point out.

Re: Coffered Ceiling Pics
No the fan was installed 4-5 years ago when house was built...it's about 4 inches off center in one direction and 2 inches in the other.
That's pretty good for sparky's on 15x15 ceiling...probably on the nearest joist to center. We offered to have our sparky come in and see about moving it, but the clients didn't mind where it was. As far as being proud of the job, we normally are...usually due to a lot of pre-planning/drawings etc and trying to do the best job we can. In the end all the really matters is that the client is happy (they are). It was fun to try a new technique, especially when it works out well, thought others who do this type of work might get some ideas if they hadn't seen gary's technique previously. J |
