Civil Engineer

Anybody in here a civil engineer? I got laid off from my construction job and going to go back to school for engineering. I think I want to go for civil engineering.

Please help me out.

not an engineer, but I know you are going to make a wise decision there. Civil engineering covers many, many areas. They will always be in demand.

Hopefully you are right. I enjoy it. not the school part that is though I guess it won't be that bad. I am not going to go everyday though just jam it all in one day.

Okay.
But first, we need a 150 word essay from you explaining what you think a person does that has a degree in Civil Engineering.

That's six words where are the other 144?

"Why"
Because you need know what you want to do in life. If you don't know, you are not going to get anywhere.

Re: Civil Engineer

A guy that worked with me in WA state used his civil engineering degree to go to work for Boeing. Add planes to the list. It's very broad. I could give you 1500 words.

As I look back on life, I realize that would've been a good field for me to follow instead of what I did. I guess I still can, but to find the time. Maybe someday.
