Re: Check Out These Quality Steps

I think if you stain the lattice to match the "stairs" it would look alot better.

I have been searching for a ramp recipient and through many sources.
A couple of days ago, Community Action called and told us that CYS called them. They need these steps built to get their kid/kids? back. (Plus other things besides the steps, my wife suspects.)

We told them that it wasn't the requirements, but we would contact them back. We called our local lumber yard and they said they would donate materials so we said yes too.

Now, I'm committed and STILL looking for a ramp/ramps to do.
Good for you!
Hope they deserve as good as
they're getting.

Re: Check Out These Quality Steps

I honestly hope it makes a difference. If so, it will be worth it.
It's not a huge sacrifice, but time could be better spent if it's for nothing.

In spite of all my struggles throughout my life and even now at times, I am truly blessed and would like to help others when I can. Others have helped me along the way.

I doubt I ever will know if it makes a difference, but I can hope.

On a separate note, I don't know why it seems so hard to find a ramp to give away. I figured the problem would be that I would not be able do enough of them.

They'll turn up when you
quit looking, right?
Just like when you turn
the truck inside out and the
shop up side down looking for
your whatsit....
Two weeks later you trip over it.

On a separate separate note, that only really matters if you feel a strong need to be part of a Movement. The Ramp-a-thon thing is a great idea, and I give it all kudos.

But ultimately the thing is to give to those in need, whether it's a ramp, a set of steps, or a meal at just the right time. Lord knows, we've all been on the receiving end of such generosity at one time or another, even if all it consisted of was a bit of tail-saving advice.

Here's your paycheck.
