Central Unit Stolen

I posted a few months back about a central unit being stolen from one of my spec houses after it was already set and wired in. I decided to pour a pad and bolt the next one down so that if the thieves came back they would be slowed down. When I sent the concrete man to pour the pad he called me to let me know that the metal trunk line had only two holes in it where screws had attached it to the unit leading me to the conclusion that the theft had been an inside job and the screws were only placed there for cosmetic reasons and they planned to steal my unit from the beginning. The HVAC guy in my opinion is innocent but some of his workers are the guilty parties. The thing that chaps me is that if I had seen them I would not have thought anything was wrong. Just a word of warning to you all, be careful of who you trust. It bit me! Needless to say, I have a new HVAC man.

Re: Central Unit Stolen

It would have been nice to secretly put a LoJack or something in the second one, let them steal it, and get BUSTED! Get them off the street and keep them from doing it to someone else.
