Re: Cement Cleaner

Try contacting the nearest Redi-Mix concrete supplier. The acid wash they use on thier trucks works pretty good at getting off light cement spots. They usually don't have a problem with someone flipping them a couple of bucks for a quart or so. Or buy them a couple 'pops' for after work. As far as the acrylic spots--you need the Spanish Laborers Hero-- El Bo Grease' !

Re: Cement Cleaner

Pressure washing might help in a few cases too depending o the porosity (is that a word) of the substrate.

Re: Cement Cleaner

You know what really works great that you cant get your hands on?

You know the red solution that comes in the car wash machines?

It will clean anything more than you want to to sometimes. I ran into a bottle of it outside and carwash one time. It ended up in the bed of my truck. I used it for 3 months to wash decks with.
HOLY CRAP that stuff was insane-

Re: Cement Cleaner

Muriatic acid is what you're after. I don't know how effective it will be on old masonry or latex.

Re: Cement Cleaner

WATCH OUT WITH THE MURATIC ACID!!!!!
When I was driving a mixer, we would use that ONLY if the truck got REALLY messed up with concrete(externally). Ive seen a many people get hurt using it. I would say dilute it down quite a bit, and wear protection!

Re: Cement Cleaner

Good call. Any acid is diluted to some degree - make sure you treat yours appropriately.
