Carpentry Shop

We are almost finished reworking our carpentry shop. I had five guys come in one weekend (sat and sun) and we organized everything. It was starting to get out of hand, so we had to do it. After everything was in place I ordered some new tools. Here is where we are at today. The electric will be done on wed, then all i have to do is hook up the hoses to the dust collector and air compressor. Any suggestions to better the work space would be great!

Looks great. Every now and then things get out of control, and you have no choice but to pull it all out, and re-organize.

Good For you.

That's a thorn in your arse, that I'm sure you are happy to have taken out......and can feel good when you now walk into an organized shop.

Nice!

Only one thing is I like to have compressors outside and enclosed or even just enclosed/soundproofed a little.

Shops are already loud enough as it is. Any way that I can reduce that is good

Looking good. I like to have my air hoses on retractable reels. I like the finished look myself but it is looking pretty good none the less.

Re: Carpentry Shop

a possible way to control the lumber rack is to do a "clearance sale"

say for $100 each the guys can have a good size load of wood which is from the shorts pile so you can empty it out and your guys can have some pieces of hardwood which might look good as a inlay in a personal project for home
