We had a lousy March, a so-so April and the best May in my history (28 years). June was fair, July was so-so.
There is just no way to figure out how things should go. Either feast or famine.

Re: Business Is Picking Way Up

Last month I was so busy I couldn't get a full nights sleep, was working 7 days.
Last week I only worked 3 days, this week there's nothing major yet scheduled.
July/August are slow months for my type of work, and last year it was the same.
The diference this year: Instead of worrying, I'm gonna enjoy some time off.
I distinctly remember kicking myself last year when it picked up.

I thought they were only slow for my trade. For some reason not many people want doors and windows in the heat of the summer. We always have a busy 4th quarter so a 4-6 week slow down is nice and relaxing.
