Burnham boiler fails

Burnham V88 leaked; found at only 2/1/2 years old. Burnham provided a replacement boiler IAW warranty but allowed only $800. toward labor, costing me an additional $1664. We later discovered Burnham had other leakage problems. We will never buy or recommend Burnham.

I guess anyone can have a bum one, and every boiler known to man has had units that have leaked at one point or another. 'Round my parts, Burnham boilers are featured in probably 90% of the homes heated with steam or hot water. The V88 has been part of their line for probably more years than I've been alive. That's a lot of boilers.

To put what you've said another way, you might say "My Chevy blew a head gasket. I've heard of other Chevy's that blew a head gasket too. I'd never buy a Chevy". Seriously, to people who do heating work, that's pretty much exactly what you're saying.
