Building Trades Association

I just received something in the mail from the Building Trades Association. They are offering a membership to the assocation for only $99.00. Has anyone else here joined this association? They claim to be able to save you lots of money on many different things. General thoughts from those famailiar with the association would be greatly appreciated.

Look for NAHB membership. $100 is cheap here, may be different in your area. Research it carefully. With the right builders association, you can soar. With many of the others just flush the money.

Are they local? Have meetings/events? If not, I'm guessing a scam.
