Building Inspector Requires Me Provide A Heat Loss Estimate

I want to finish my basement. The town building inspector requires me provide a heat loss estimate to show that my furnace will be able to take the load of the basement as well as upstairs. I am located in Grafton MA.
I downloaded the RESCheck software, but have no clue how to use it.
Could someone please kindly guide me as to how and use it.
Or suggested any other ways of getting this without any cost or a little cost.
