Maybe someday "Super Inspector" may mysteriously leap off a building in a single bound....

What in the world keeps someone from suing this clown and the city? I am glad I don't work in your area.....looks like the city would take a vested interest in shutting down a business for 3 months.....lost tax revenue.

consider yourself lucky that you dont work in this town.he gave a man a 1200.00 fine for plumbing a house he had bought to move into with his family.but because he wasnt living there while he did the work, was fined.another man was fined 400.00 for putting a hot water heater in a rent house during dec a couple years ago.a family was living in the house(2 small children),had been without hot water for 2 weeks.and the plumbers told the landlord it would be another 2-3 weeks before they could get to it.so this landlord and his friend installed one so the family would have hot water during christmas.
he caused countless delays in construction at the hospital during their add on.he tried to get the bricklayers to tear down a 10 foot x 50ft section of wall, because he wasnt there to count the screws in the outside drywall.
and i saved the best for last!when construction started on the hospital, the super told the electritians to go get a no cost permit.they went down and the CI told them they didnt need a permit.when they came back to the job site the super had them wire in his office trailer.they were fined $3200.00 for not getting a permit!

YIKES! This guy sounds like bad news and then some. I can't believe there haven't been grievances filed that would cause this mope to back off.
Going by the book is one thing, I've certainly had my fair share of tough
inspectors. But an inspector like this is nitpicking for some reason other than just enforcing code. He probably got rejected when he applied to to Police Department and now "there's a new sherriff in town" is the mentality he brings to his inspector job.
Damned if I wouldn't find out what recourse you have with a guy like this and put it on him. Sounds like you'd have nothing to lose, he's already being tough and unreasonable.
