Can not eBay to sell them. The shipping fees would be enormous.

Re: Blocks For Sale! LOL

All that f***ing when the guy was not smart enought to order close to what he needed. - What he has is 4 or 5 pallets of block or a half of a load. That takes a lot of work to load and a few loads on most trucks.

If he had any sense, he would net more if he put an add in the freebies of the Middletown newspaper. The price is such that if anyone needed them the person could probably pay the regular price for what he needs and have new block delivered by the local yard.

No one in their right mind would deal with a person with that mentality.

Re: Blocks For Sale! LOL

Welcome to my world.

From the phones, just today:

"Hey, I'm building an outdoor fireplace, how many pallets of block do I need?"

"How much does a pallet of brick cost"

Them: "I need some lath" Me: "What kind" Them: "I don't know" Me: "I don't either, call me back when you find out"

And my favorite of the day, asked in ernest:

"Can a borrow a [mortar] mixer for the weekend? I bought all my stuff (a couple hundred bucks worth) from you?"

I hate it when I am stuck in the office all day.

Re: Blocks For Sale! LOL

Maybe he should ship them to China since concrete block, instead of brick, is now the officially approved wall material because of energy, pollution and land use.

There is now a "super ship" (31 knots/hour) running between China and the U.S. west coast that is over 200 feet wide and about 1000 feet long that has a crew of only 13 people. I would imagine they need a back-haul.

He could sell the delivery service since it is 4 days faster than any other container ship.
