bidding prevailing wage

i have to bid a prevailing wage job coming up. its in nyc. do i need to do anything special besides pay my guys the prevailing wage rate. is there any extra paper work or whatnot? as always any help is appreciated

Certified payroll, usually. Isn't that spelled out in the bid docs?

there is more to it than that, i dont remember the details, but a few years back i got involved with a PWJ, the more i researched the less i wanted it. i backed out, be careful

You're right, there is more then that, look in the front of the spec book for the job, Div 0 or Div 1 will/should give all the information as to how, what where, when, the forms required for payment, documentation, etc.

Read the spec people!!!!!

A few years back we painted a few fire stations & it was prevailing wage.... The bid documents said we also had to provide health insurance & retirement/pension for the job. We already were providing insurance & had a simple IRA plan so the only change for us was the prevailing wage.

Like the others already said, check the bid documents.
