Ax-men Parenting Clinic

Is it me? Or does anyone else want to give the aqua logging dad a "crash" course in parenting skills?

That guy is a real piece of work

The rest of the show is good though.

I think a lot of it is for the 'show'... He's quite a character!

I just wanna reach in and slap them for the stupid stunts they pull

Yeah, that old dude is beyond vulgar and very disrespectful to everyone. With the way "The Discovery Channel" seems to be it's hard to believe they would show that guy IMO.

Re: Ax-men Parenting Clinic

I used to act just like him back when I was drinking all the time. Feel sorry for my guy's, but they put up with it. Any little thing would piss me off. Well, I guess I wasn't quite as bad as him, but close.

I've only seen one episode, but I watched enough to see the aqua logger. Man, that guy yelled like an idiot about everything; it was almost hard to believe if that was truly the way he acted or not.

I'm not proud of it but it is true that I find myself rooting for the river when that guy is in it.

Next week it seems he is going swimming.

Re: Ax-men Parenting Clinic

He got busted. (Not sure if that's old news or not, pardon me if it is.) Turns out he was removing logs without a permit. I've been following the season, looking for word from Discovery Channel on the raid:

Aqua Logger in Hot Water

Cle Elum -- A Cle Elum logger's 15 minutes of fame could last a little longer.

The History Channel's reality show 'Ax Men' made them famous but it also got them in hot water, now these aqua loggers are under investigation with the Washington State Department of Natural Resources.

S & S Aqua Logging is being accused of illegal gathering of timber on state-owned property. Jimmy Smith pulls logs from river beds and sells them. It's a practice he showed off on the Hoquiam River and on the reality show, that's what tipped off the state. Action News called up Jimmy Smith Saturday he says he's done nothing wrong and that he got approval from DNR reps in Olympia. "I've asked the DNR several different times you know, can I do this? And they told me anything in that river is fair game that was just like three weeks ago I talked to them," says Smith.

Smith tells us he thinks the state is trying to make him look like the bad guy, the state disagrees. Aaron Toso, DNR Director of Communications & Outreach says, "It's pretty clear that he should have had an understanding of what the rules were."

Friday agents seized two dozen logs officials say worth $10,000. This weekend folks around Cle Elum are buzzing about the loggers.

"I was shocked you could've knocked me over with a feather," says Bob Zuchowski.

"Whoever's guilty of not telling the truth hopefully justice will be done," says Gil Ward.

Now this Cle Elum aqua logger is hopping he doesn't end up logging time in jail. "I thought I'd done my homework. I'm 52 years old, I don't want no trouble with the state," says Jimmy Smith, S & S Aqua Logging.

That guy should just go and enjoy his retirement like he says 10 times a show and shut his cake hole.

I guess it isn't just me then.

The thing that really gets me is that is his son.
What drives a guy to act like that?
