SWEET! Thanks for letting me know. I think my TIVO is set up to catch all of these but I'll doublecheck.

Richard goes off on a contractor, so it will be a good one.

Love the show.. They sure do make it look easy. I wonder how many people see this show and say to themselves, "I am going to do that".

Re: Attn: Flip This House New Episode Tonight

I have a real estate company in the Charlotte, NC area and we are members of the area MLS... Rockhill, the location of last night's show, is in our area.. I searched that neighborhood and the road, Woodvine... They talked about selling at 250k... I saw nothing sell for that price. I couldn't find, I don't think, the house that they did. There was one that looked somewhat similar that sold for 229k... Other than that one, there were several in there at or around the 160k that they paid for theirs on the show...

I enjoy the show.. They get a better return on their investment than we do on new houses, thats for sure. They were predicting a 54k profit on 250k selling price... I look for 25k at the same selling point. I am considering a 'flip' this year just to see if I can make money on it.

Re: Attn: Flip This House New Episode Tonight

How do you like how they delt with the contractor?

If i was the contractor i would of let them know that there way no way i could do what they wanted for 10k!!! That was his first mistake. As soon as ginger said the budget was 10k i was like year right like that is possible.

I like flip this house with trademark way better than when its on TLC and HOM channel with those chicks.

Re: Attn: Flip This House New Episode Tonight

I have seen a lot more low and mid priced houses being remodeled in the last year than ever before. I think it is good for the remodel industry, except now people expect low price and everything to happen in one episode! They also leave out some details, like permit and inspection.

Re: Attn: Flip This House New Episode Tonight

Is it me or does Richard thinks he is the only one that needs to make money.

First of all I would have gone off on him about me paying my guys $20 an hour, that is none of his business. I dont tell him how much to pay his employees so he has no right to tell me how to run my business.

He rubs me wrong sometimes.

I am really starting to dislike Richard. You're right Cole....he thinks he is the only one who can make money. I was irritated by last nights episode.

I have an odd way of dealing with fellas like our buddy old Richard. They end up remembering me every time they crap.

Re: Attn: Flip This House New Episode Tonight

Show was entertaining.

I see both sides of the contractor's problem last night.

I understand jumping into a job before you really know all the details, when you're in a situation like that. But he needed to talk to his subs first and figure out a more realistic budget. Then inform Brian about it ASAP!

It annoyed me that the subs were gouging that guy so bad. I mean mark up your labor slightly, but some of those labor prices were ridiculous. And I'm sure the GC never said anything to his subs like this "These guys have tons of money, plus they're on a TV show. So adjust your price accordingly." A GC would never do such a thing.

I agree too Cole. It seems it was OK for Richard to go off on them when he accused them of saying he was going to make a bundle on the house .
At the same time the GC apparently didn't get any firm prices for the work from the subs. Then the GC says, he does "new construction". New construction and remodeling are oranges and apples.
