Yeah.... too bad Illinois isn't a concealed carry state. Some lunatic went to NIU in Dekalb, IL killed 4, wounded 17. Had ANYONE been allowed to legally carry, the toll would have been a lot less.

ain't that the truth. You might not get away with that in Missoula, but any where else it would fly. At the job I'm on, during hunting season, a few animals got harvested just before work began or at lunch. People would see an elk on the hillside, call for an early lunch, and run to their truck for their rifle. That was hunting season before last, this time around, the homeowner got a hunting license, so we couldn't hunt, because he wanted to go after the animals on his land.

I don't live in a high crime area, but that doesn't mean crime doesn't happen. Here's one that happened to my dad- He was working on a house, the home owner came out side and explained that her neighbor had been in an abusive relationship, and that she had helped the woman move to the SAFE house earlier that morning. She had just gotten a call that the husband had found out and was pissed, and it was very possible that he might show up to get revenge on the woman that had helped his wife escape. Sure, you are in a low crime rural area, but there is a decent chance that somebody might show up with intent to do harm.

Yup.....home invasions happen across all the economic statosphere...there was an article in the WSJ sometime about 6-8 weeks ago about some of the home invasions that have taken place in some of the executive estates and what measures some of the wealthier americans are having to take.

I don't know the data but it makes some sort of morbid sense that any of the scumbags pulling that kind of sh11te are going to be looking at the "better homes and gardens" as opposed to their crackhead neighbors place.

Is "crackhead" pc? Or is that so 80's/90's?

Hopefully Michael, that doesn't come home. I suggest getting your ccw as soon as legally possible.

Prior to and as soon as you can, get as much education as possible. Become one a responsible bearer.

I probably should get it soon, they make it a pain in the ass. You have to take a class and then go to court and they ask you why you want the permit. Then pay them all their money they dont need.

I want to get a full auto permit but its $1000 a year

A semi auto is fine but I think the ccw was a stupid price to, I think my dad had like $800 into getting his license. I dont remember what it is to renew it. I guess I should be thankful its even possible living in a blue state.

My great grandpa did before the nazis made you register all guns. He built a box and burried it in the back yard and never registered them. The Nazis came and took the few he did register and after the war he went out and dug them back up.
