Another Reason To Hate Home Depot

I was doing a job the other day and needed something so i went to home depot about 5 mins from the site,as i arrive i see large groups of people all over the parking lot,i'm talking 50-60 maybe more,in groups of say 4-5, as i get into the parking lot i realize who they are,illegals! freeport long island Ny.Now i thought about this for two days, and now i see home depot as sponsers to illegal immigration,i felt like i was walking thru a small town in mexico.Not only was this disturbing to me but the effects on local ,honest contractors,must be felt. I can only assume its just as disturbing to there customers. I'd say where are the police but there not allowed to ask of somebodys immigration status,then i think of immigration inforcement,where are they? There standing on one of the busiest hwys in the area, right out in the open.Maybe its time to teach home depot a leason,by them not supporting our federal goverment,we lose jobs,pay taxes to support these people in the streets and jail, pay for there hospital bills and pay with our lives ,half if not more were criminals before they got here,when they don't work they drive around drunk killing our citizens.Anybody up for a boycott of Home depot.I know i am. My new store this week is lowe's.I plan on driving by there again and snapping some pics and mailing them to my local newspapers,enough is enough.Its bad enough i have to compete with these people and the contractors that hire them,to put food on my table,then i pay taxes to put food on there table!

Call the cops ...mumble something about being on your cellphone and there "appears" to be an "angry mob" assembled out side of Big Box...it's not a lie ~ you can "see" them (appear) ...and some foreign languages sound "angry"...it's a matter of your opinion and perceptions

Don't really need any more reasons to hate HD, but I've been boycotting them for years also. Just don't go there, and tell everyone else to do the same. If more people avoid them, they'll wither and die.

Unfortunatly since they ran all the lumber yards out of business,sometimes your only choice is lowe's or home of the illegals depot.

I've seen the same as you describe and although my first thought was to *scoff* and feel disgusted thinking they were all illegals ... sometimes the benefit of the doubt deserves a little merit. Afterall, as a society we are too willing to group all who have the same skin color, facial features, and dialect in the same group. I've met quite a few LEGALS who are uneducated in the work force that they do the very same things you describe to find work. What about the people that stop and pick them up ... put them to work and pay them cash for their efforts? Are they not the greater evil for fostering the very reason workers congregate in such ways?

As far as boycotting the big box (one or all) ... I've worked the building material industry for more than 10 years. My experiences include the big box as well as the small mom-n-pop shops. Deals exist in both and a buying relationship with all suppliers in your area has far more benefits than only buying with a few.

Be the savvy one. Buy the good deals as you find them ... make your purchasing power known throughout ... and keep them all hungry for your business. It's your greatest tool for great service and competitive pricing.

Here in Austin, the HD's finallly bowed to local pressure and quit allowing the illegals to use their parking lots. The city has built several wetback staging areas, er, I mean "day laborer" sites around town to facilitate their abuse by jack leg contractors, however.
