Anchoring In Concrete Using Expansion Anchors
When Anchoring in concrete using expansion anchors, is it recommended to use an epoxy such as
http://www.simpsonanchors.com/catalog/adhesives/ or is this an overkill? Anchoring 4x4 11ga Thx. |

Re: Anchoring In Concrete Using Expansion Anchors
Depends on the load, shear, lateral stress, etc.. for a simple deck, expansion anchors are fine (redheads) but for any structural remodeling it is required (in CA, anyway) now to use bolts with Simpson epoxy, (and have a special inspection while doing so!) Now that's overkill!
