How to sync QB with multiple users?

What's the best way and cheapest way to sync multiple quickbooks users who are on different computers of course? And possibly cross platform... windows and mac. Frequent updates throughout the day would be ideal.

I used the QuickBooks online product several years ago and was able to share with multiple users and even the accountant could access it. It was a subscription based service that I thought worked well especially with multiple users and multiple platforms.

Sounds as if you're not using it anymore... did you switch to anything else? Was it missing things you would have liked?

I'm was thinking Quickbooks Pro or the Contractor version but I'll look into the Online version.

I've been using the online version for about 2 weeks now. The 'Plus' package comes with 3 user access (plus accountant) but you can add as many as you want.
I'm quite pleased with the online version. Everything works a little different and it is a touch slower but it has eliminated me having to worry about what happens to my computer and I can get general information on my Blackberry.

It has a really nice import feature for switching from desktop version to online version. Didn't lose anything except my invoice template.

Can one of the client computers also serve as the host of the data files for other users?

Would doing this noticeably reduce performance of my pc, any other cons to it?
