Anybody Here Use Mac? What Do You Use For Billing Software?

I just recently purchased a Macbook and switched over from PC. While I'm able to run PC software on this mac with parallels I would like to check out the mac billing/invoicing software available before committing to either. Just curious what good programs are out there thanks

Try Billable. There's a 30 day free trial for it. It's not fancy, but it's super easy and makes clean and pretty invoices. I think it's only $20.

+1 on Quickbooks. However, don't get sucked into buying their never-ending stream of updates.

I'm going to pick this up tonight!

See you later armed with zillions of questions, okay?

Seriously, I was about to buy a new router but instead realized this would be better money spent right now.

I read on this site once a long time ago that a good contractor does the things he has to do before doing the things he wants to do.

Whoever said that God Bless You!

I run windows on a partition on my macbook pro. I load up windows and have quickbooks running on that, as quickbooks for mac, I've heard too many bad things about it. I only use QB for invoices and keeping track of expenses/accts. I now type up proposals on letterhead that looks better than QB, I did use it for years for estimates but another thread changed my mind and I'm glad I did.

I have a Mac Book as well and heard the same troubles.

I'm leaning to a stand alone budget PC just for accounting...

just use two boots and have windows on the mac. my default OS is mac. holding down option key during boot lets you choose windows or mac.

Re: Anybody Here Use Mac? What Do You Use For Billing Software?

I used Boot Camp for a long time in my last business (where my partner's network was PC based) and it worked okay. The biggest problem I had was how much of a resource and storage hog Windows was. I've heard good things about Parallels, but I'm wondering if it kills battery life as badly as running native Windows on a Boot Camp partition?
I've got a buddy who works at Intuit who told me Quickbooks 2011 for Mac (which just came out) works really well. I guess Intuit had outsourced the development of the last QB mac version to India and they did a crap job. This latest version was developed in US. I'm about to install it, and will let you guys know how it works.

Here is the ultimate solution to dual booting multiple OS's.

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

It is a combo of Virtualbox, Compiz, and the Os's you want to boot.

There is a program called Billings for mac (made by marketcircle). I've heard it works well for some contractors.
