Post Energy Efficient Marketing

With energy costs increasing every day, many contractors are not using this “energy crisis” as a valuable way to increase new clients. Contractors, regardless if you are an HVAC contractor or a windows installer, can create a marketing angle and system that utilizes this energy crisis, to promote your products and services that will benefit the homeowner in the long run.

This is great advice...we have had huge sucess with this specific market. We typically focus on warehouses for lighting retrofits...this coupled together with the EPACT incentives an result in a huge payday for everyone involved...

This is a great angle to use, now is the time to use the crisis to talk about energy efficient for their homes, The stimulus credit covers most of the home improvement. West Coast Vinyl obviously concentrates on the window replacement.

I'm not shocked to hear that residential contractors are benefitting as well.

Thanks for the article. I think the 'green washing' that is going on now is going to fade away in the not so distant future. As consumers realize just because a business promotes a service or product has 'green' or 'energy efficient' doesn't mean it really is once they 'look under the hood'! Consumers will get wiser so those companies that really want to promote their green products or services (contractors included) will have to back up their claims. Providing stats and research that back up claims will become more and more important.
