Last time I heard that insult, I was in the 10th grade... i.e. pudwacker. Seriously. If you're gonna get that butt hurt, at least use a real insult!

In your haste to post the lamest insult in the world, you didn't fully read my post. I had no problem w/ your OP, in fact, I was getting ready to reply w/ a web address for a company that deals in the specific items you were looking for. Then I read your reply to the guys...freakin' pathetic. 4 guys took the time to read your post and think of a possible solution and you get all bitchy 'cause they didn't give you the answer you were looking for.
Anyone who cops an attitude like that doesn't deserve my knowledge. I don't know everything, that's for damn sure...but I knew what you were looking for!

Just figured I'd let you know exactly how far a bad attitude like yours will get you here...

Re: Porch Posts - Turned

it does worry me that this thread, and in theory, this job are taking place in the realm of historic preservation. As to the thread, I would hope that the OP simply mis-posted in here, rather than straight remodel. If this is an historic property he is working on, the majority of codes state that the replacement of an historic element is subject to approvals of the style, type and MANUFACTURER prior to approval. substitutions can be made, but most often also require approvals in writing.

Very sorry to hear that.
I have been there, hung
on by my teeth from 80 til the
spring of 82.
Finally had something going and
was only 30 days behind
but the mortgage company
wouldn't give me any more breaks.
Hope things turn for you soon.

Re: Porch Posts - Turned

thanks guys, good news is we aren't behind on the home, so moving it puts coin in pocket, if it moves. That Is why I have been trying to sell my rover as well. We are at 16% unemployment locally already, and that does not include those of us self employed who 'have a job" but no work. Thanks for the kind thoughts.
