Old Victorian

Not sure where I should have posted this but it caught my eye the other day and I took a picture. This is in Westfield, NJ - the town I grew up in!

I love the full-size porch and attention to detail of everything else. The "Queen Anne" thing (don't know the proper term) is a thing of beauty.

Absolutely stunning. There are two behind my house and I sometimes drive by just to look at them. The owners put the same attention to detail into the ones by me as that one has.

Makes you appreciate fine work

This is Lawrence Ave and the whole street have homes like this with the exception of a few McMansion's. It is a rumor that the original"Addams Family" house used in the tv show was built here. I'll have to take some more pictures..

Awsome house!

I'm a huge fan of wrapping porches too. I bet that house looks great from every side too.

Ever notice how few modern houses actually look great like that, even the expensive ones?

Reminds me of Cape May New Jersey. They say in Cape May that every father hopes one day his daughter will marry a house painter.....G

SUHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET Queen Anne is what I understand to be the correct term for that style. Seems the marker for a Queen is the turret.
