Took all your the advice and rebuilt my website, Please review.
The review of my last website showed that it was awful, so I took some of the content and found a website developer, and tried to do better. It is not done but I think it is a lot better than it was. Please let me know what you think, and what I need to fix. Thank you.

I did I would have thought the photos would enlarge when you clicked on them. Looks nice good start. It takes years to perfect a website

Yep I did the same thing. Clicked on the thumbnails. It took about 3 minutes before I was sure what he was selling. But I'm good and drunk right now so I can only critique the weather.

Nice looking.
Your message needs editing. The about us needs a bit of work and a couple of other areas need some work.
Its not clear what you do, maybe because your not done yet.
Rely less on using the word craftsmanship, I believe in it, as do you, but it means little to homeowners. It has become cliche.
Instead describe more how working with you (the craftsman) would distinguish their completed project from the mundane and common work found in most homes.
Try not to use happyness or happy when describing how they will like the job, kick it up a notch, children are happy, your clients will be pleased or delighted or "Our finely wrought finishes will make your nipples hard
Just kidding on the last one.

I think it's good so far. Your "Get free estimate" and "Call us today" pages are the same. I think the format is fine for "Get free estimate". But on your "Contact us" You should have your office phone #, fax#, cell# and your email address. And yeah those small pictures should be clickable to enlarge, to show off your work. All and all I like it.

I plan on having galleries behind each of the pictures; again it is just a start. I just want to make sure I am on the correct tract, and have the basics right.

I was not sure about the contact us page. I know ppl are lazy which is why I added to form to the page, but maybe I can move it further down and have more official contact info on top. Keep the info coming, thanks again for all the help.

When you click on your title bar or the home link - it should go directly to http://sacramentomillworks.com not index.htm - this will help with your page counts & tracking
Testimonials page = About Sacramento Millworks, you need to change that to Testimonials from customers of ... or something along the same lines
Other page titles - current thinking you have up to 10 keywords to use there - even the phone number would be good to add in case they search for 916 millworks, etc...
I just noticed your picture at top changes, most customers never will
While your site is small right now, when you get up to 20 plus pages ...._099.html is going to be a biatch to manage, name them with simple 1 word names ... contact, testimonials, kitchen_cabs, vanity...
Your off to a good start

I think you have one of the best header images I've seen. I found myself navigating through those pictures rather than clicking on links to other pages. I would make that "content slider" a bigger feature and take up more page "real estate". And add a call to action underneath the blurbs that takes the user to more information.
Some site owners make the mistake of posting a massive amount of textual content on a landing page, thinking the more "verbage" and keywords they can stuff into a page the better for search optimizing purposes. Which may be true in yielding rank results. But no one wants to scroll and scroll to read copy unless they came to research by desire to read a "white page". This method of building content usually brings little conversion and instead results in larger bounce rates.
