Yet another scam for lead generators

Hey all,
I know we all get bored of this after awhile, but here is another scam that was posted on Professional Remodeler.
http://www.housingzone.com/proremodeler/blog/1350000335/post/1240039924.html
Just wish someone would make the lead generation business be a little more classy without so much of this going on.
I guess I wouldn’t care as much if I could pay for what is actually done and not be pulled into buying leads and keeping my fingers crossed.

Scam alert - Everycontractor.com

Here's something you need to know about: Everycontractor.com, an online lead generation site, is calling around to contractors posing as customers to get people to sign up for the site. (h/t to Ed Cholfin of Advanced Kitchens who posted about this on LinkedIn)

Apparently, the way it works is they tell you they need a kitchen, bathroom, etc., remodeled, then once they get you on the phone try to sell you on their referral service. They'll come on your caller ID as 888-326-0653.

I can't speak to the quality of their service, but pulling these kind of tactics to get people to sign up tells me this isn't a company you want to be involved with.

Here are a few remodelers talking about their experiences with the company:

You can find more with a simple Google search.

No, not that one, but I have heard enough horror stories on this forum about them that I didn't need to try. I wasted several months worth of dollars with SM though a few years ago.
