WCV Leads=bad Company
So I get a lead from wcv leads last week...from an account I closed over six months ago. I never got one lead until now, the problem is that I closed the account back in August. Of course the guy I closed the account with no longer works there. Their excuse is that I didn't submit a written letter of cancellation, so now I have a lead in an area I don't work in and I get the opportunity to pay for it! Woohoo! All on an account I closed...
I would like to use a few more descriptive verbs and such, but I think you get the point...thanks for the rant!!! wcv leads

Re: WCV Leads=bad Company
We use them, and I'll agree....But while they aren't the greatest source of leads, we have sold some of their leads.
But, just like any other online lead generating service, the quality as of late has been piss-poor. I'm hoping with the nice weather coming, people will be more motivated to do something. To get some of these people who supposedly requested an estimate to simply answer their phones is like pulling teeth lately. |

Re: WCV Leads=bad Company
The thing is, and you said it yourself, you "forgot" to email or fax in confirmation of your intenet to quit. That's on you.
We use them and couple of others and last year we did very well! The economy is really the culprit in a lot of our recent financial woes. Customers are signing up but then getting cold feet, I run into that all the time, the thing is, I have an exceptional marketing room that doesn't take that as an answer. You have to really grind on these leads, that's what it's about. As far as the area, with the way things are going in this economy, if I paid for a lead I would try to run it. At least with the lead co's I can get credit for some of the bad ones. I can't do that with the phone book or other advertising realms. If that lead was willing to meet with you, I'd run it. I leave (within reason) no stone unturned in this ever failing economy. I noticed you had a problem with CalFinder and Reliable according to your other threads, maybe the lead gen co's aren't for you.. |
