Re: Service Magic, Good Or Bad?

ServiceMagic is alright. Generally it produces a good amount of leads for us. The only thing is sometimes the leads are not very good. I have spoken to many leads who said they didn't sign up for an estimate, or that they received 5 other call backs. (ServiceMagic claims to only give customer information to 3 other contractors). But for the most part, it brings in a good amount of leads, and if you are willing to filter through the not so good ones, to get to the good ones, then you'll like it. Also, make sure to keep ontop if the not so good leads because ServiceMagic will give you a credit if it's bad contact info or the job is too small.

Re: Service Magic, Good Or Bad?

I am guessing all of these services have their high points and low points. Ive got friends in yellowpages making huge profits on their ads when for me I didnt break even. I am wondering why so many people are willing to pay Service Magic for a lead when they are all internet driven. Service Magic bumps our cost per click up on the search engines so in essence we are already paying (assuming you do ppc) for competing with ourselves.
