well I have read trew most of the posts and the opinion is very mixed some guys seem to really like the lead services some guys hate them I read that some guys never got any leads and some say the leads never pay off, since I signed up with reilable (for the 30 day free period) I have recieved 6 leads have not bought any of them yet. Now I also see that most guys on here are from or around the east coast, out here in the west we have a labor shortage.

It's the one lead service I use, and have continued to use since starting.
If you can't get in touch with somebody or get a bogus lead they'll credit you without any grief.

Angry Reliable Remodler

I have used them and they are a rip off. When you get leads from them that are no good thery will only let you take half of the credit toward new leads so in order to get full credit you have to purchase an equal amount of new leads, most of the time you can not even get in contact with the HO

Well I pulled the triger and bought a couple of leads from RR I will see how they pan out one was a new construction on a 2000 sf house and the other was a addition of 400sf

RR wanted 65 for the new construction and 40 for the addition I e mailed them and told them that I would take both for 30 they counterd with 40 I accepted

one thing that I did find is they do not always talk to the home owner they try for 24 hrs and if no responce they send out the lead with what the onwer provided on the web site.

Well so far no responce from the home owners I have sent each an e mail and tried multiple times to contact with either no answer or no call back

I do have a solution for RR I think that the Home owner should have to put up an estimate fee before RR sends out any leads once the contractor contacts the home owner the fee can be credited.

Im with Frank, I used em, same as service magic.I actually asked a customer if they were aware of the fact that I was charged for their info.
Of course they said no. I think if these companies informed customers of the charge to contractors, the amount of worthless leads would deminish...
Dont know who to trust now-guess the paper, at least I know someone actually took the time to look me up!!

Got an email back from one of the leads from RR the home owner lives about 10 miles from me and said sorry it took so long to reply to you but I have been busy at work, Homeowner also said I do not have any money to do an addition on my house I was just wondering if you could come by and give me a free estimate (that is what RR promised)

This really shouldn't be taken as a reflection of R/R. There seems to be a real problem with all of these types of leads that come in via the Internet. All of these lead services push this "free estimate" and "it's easy" thing way to much. Too many home owners out there are taken in by this and submit requests just to satisfy there curiosity.

The true test of a good service is how they handle reimbursement of bad leads. I've had pretty good luck with replacement leads at R/R so far. I have three on the table at the moment that I sent in for replacement last night. These were replacements for three other "no contacts". Nothing back as of this morning, but I think they'll do the right thing as usual. I'll report back if not.

For as much money as they charge for the lead, wouldnt it save them a lot of trouble refunding the money if they VERIFY the lead first?

I stopped using them for the usual reasons. Had problems getting credits.
I had them and Service Magic at the same time. I filed a complaint with my credit card company and got my money back from SM. Then I opened another account with the credit card company saying I lost my card. Got a new number and thats what it took to get rid of RR and SM for good. What a hassle.

SM continues to harass me to this day. They should hire injured construction people who know the ropes instead of a bunch of 'wet behind the ears' telemarketers.

Did I just give away the ultimate business idea? Maybe Nat can do something with it. It'd be something to keep them and older folks in the loop. I'm starting to think that this is a really great idea!

And there's the house, car, and work truck, AFTER!

You roofers be easy. I wanted 13" standing seam, double lock valleys done in 100% copper. But all we could afford was architectural shingles nailed with galvys over existing mud job.

reliable remodeler

ive left tim giles w/ rr about 4 messages beginning 3 weeks ago that i havent heard anything back from....in regard to finding out why i'm being billed a monthly fee of $29.95 just to have a chance at buying these "so called leads"......some of them are reasonably priced,...but some come in at $150---or $80---very overpriced , considering in alot of cases you have better luck hitting powerball than actually being able to contact any of these so called "interested homeowners" no matter what time of the day or night you call, and no matter how many emails you send.

good luck

I think that is the key right there -- who your representative is.
Mine is Justin Thomas and he is awesome -- gives me credits with no problems and if i order at least 5 at once, i get 50% off. Even if I get through to the homeowner, if they were just a bad lead (for whatever reason) he will give me credit.

Welcome to "Reliable Dush bag" I dealt with them for a full year. A fair shake in any circle. Bought about 2 doz. leads. Got through to about 6 customers all "just wondering". My salesman was good enough to credit my account. But towards the end I got a new salesman When I needed a credit he couldn't be found. That's when I quit. I would just stick to the referalls of you satisfied customers...
