Sometimes I wonder if half the bad press SM gets is because contractors do not want their competition signing up with the service.

I once turned a GC onto SM and he tried it for a week and gave up. He said that his leads were a min $50. I would probably quit to if I had to pay that amount most of the time. Most of my leads are $12. They are maintenance leads and usually the first person to make contact gets the job. I have picked up close to 20 maintenance jobs in the last two months from SM alone. Construction jobs are about 1 in 10 and more pricey. I limit the categorys because I found that the price was to much for the close rate.

Smith, I come on this Forum in good faith and I do not appreciate your BS. Everything I have stated is true PERIOD. If you want to check me out, you can check the state lic board, call my number in my profile and I will give you my street address. But don't get in my face without all the facts pal.

SM uses their number so they can funnel leads through their service and charge me. I don't like it and stated such in an earlier post.

When I google my business name, relevant Yellow has me listed 3rd with correct number. I pay them too. What is your point?

If you had any real ability to research the internet, this info is easily available.

Now this is what I see....

Your desire to discredit me comes from your inability to see the value in marketing systems that you probably have no personal experience in but somehow you know inside that "it won't work" because you "never did it that way before".

This whole exchange says a lot about you Smith.

If you had a little higher IQ you would see that my posts were more about gathering info (future customers info) than it was about praising the virtues of SM. That was the direction I was shooting for and hoping to engage other like minded contractors in some dialog.

Not even close to the name you gave.
I did sales for the largest full service remodeling company in the US ( self Proclaimed) and ran hundreds of SM leads I cannot remember closing ONE of them they all were mooches looking for the lowest price and yes there were at least 5 other contractors what a waste of time.

A marketing system that renders you invisible? I must admit I've never tried that. Hell I cant even see any landscaping equipment in that office park suite at the street address you used. Its a industrial site. We moved there a year ago. I WAS NOT the first tenant to occupy this site. And I have closed many SM leads. Maybe you should try taking a class in selling or maybe you are full of S***.

the number listed here is unpublished according to White pages .com and a differant address Why would a business have an unpublished number if they were not doing so well that they would have to limit calls and therefore not need SM
