Linkedin lead generation post

On Thursday I posted thread on linkedin NARI group about lead gens sites and their tactics. It appears the thread has riled up the natives. Paul Lusseur and Rory Swan have been really stirring the pot and feeding the fire. It will be interesting to see what, if anything, is done by contractor organizations or trade publications to publicize the tactics used by the lead gen sites. Here is a link to the site. You have to see Paul and Rory's posts. They are priceless.

Thats right, you have to join which means being accepted. I would guess they check emails on file.
But you can join on Linkedin on a non NARI forum.
Now SM and other services are a form of revenue for businesses. So as far as I know CT and Linkedin both allow open SM discussions. And the NARI site does also, but I'll bet it wish it didn't.

Ed you have a profile on linked in? If so go here - http://www.linkedin.com/groupsDirectory, search for NARI, click on it - by the logo should be a yellow button for Join Group - it may take a day to get accepted though.

Is the SM discussion any different that what we see hear on a regular basis?
I clicked to join the group, but I don't think I will get accepted, because they verify the e-mail address with current members.
