Lead services over the years

Is it just me or has the quality of every lead service gone down dramatically over the past few years? 3,4,5 years ago I had pretty good success using a variety of services, now they all seem to have fallen off to the point where it isn't worth my time. I guess the slowdown in the industry, coupled with the fact the more contractors are aware of and using the services are taking a toll.

Its got to be more than that though, the quality of the leads has taken a nose dive for the past 2-3 years already in my opinion. I think the number lead services out there is too high along with the number of contractors trying to use them, therefore we get old recycled leads with 10-20 contractors competing for a phantom job. I think the recession has just intensified the problem.
